AGGREGATE STREAM CATCHER

Catch your aggregate as it comes off the belt with this sturdy stream catcher. We worked closely with Iowa DOT and many customers to create this improved product. Much sturdier handles, deeper pan and curved end greatly reduce inefficiencies and promote accurate collection.
 

CALIPER, PROPORTIONAL ~ 4-STATION

Similar to budget model this caliper has 4 stations to provide openings for all 4 ratios (1:2, 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5) simultaneously. Moveable posts are also replaceable. CALIPER, PROPORTIONAL ~ ECONOMY

Caliper consists of a 6x16" (152x406mm) base plate with two fixed posts and a 13" (330mm) pivoting arm mounted between the posts so that there is an opening at each end of the arm. METHYLENE BLUE VALUE SET

This test is for determining the amount of potentially harmful fine material (including clay and organic material) is present in an aggregate batch. Set includes 25g of methylene blue reagent in stable powder form, a 50x0.1mL special amber glass buret, a buret clamp and stand, 2 amber 500mL solution storage bottles, 3 glass 600mL beakers, 2 glass dropping rods, a 1L volumetric flask, and a 100-sheet pack of 24cm diameter filter paper. Instructions for preparation and storage of solution are provided along with details of the test procedure. The 25 grams of powder reagent provided in the Set are sufficient to prepare solution for over 500 tests. Other required accessories should be ordered if not available in the lab. MOISTURE PROBE, TRIDENT

The Trident comes calibrated for both sand and aggregate, and can be programmed by the user for up to ten different materials. The Trident can store more than 150 readings--complete with time and date for future reference.
 

ORGANIC IMPURITIES TEST

Set includes twenty-four (24) 90-1592-01 graduated 16-oz (403ml) colorless glass Impurities Test Bottles, a 1 lb (454g) bottle of Sodium Hydroxide Pellets (S-2305-17), and a 90-1592-02 Color Reference Chart. The sodium hydroxide pellets make enough 3% solution to perform over 150 tests. The Color Reference Chart has five permanent reference colors mounted in a durable protective plastic case. POINT LOAD TESTER

The 90-8040-00 point load tester consists of a loading frame, a mounted hydraulic ram and a pressure gauge for maximum load indication. An upper conical platen is fixed on the frame and a lower one on the jack piston. A graduated scale is fixed on the frame and indicates the specimen diameter. THICKNESS AND ELONGATION OF AGGREGATE, LENGTH, BS-812

Has 6 labeled openings between pairs of metal pins for measuring length of particle form each of the 6 sieves cuts below 50mm. The mass of all elongated particles as percent of the sample is the Elongation Index. The Length Gauge has brass pins set in a brass bar with stamped sieve fraction ranges between pins. The bar is mounted on a finished wooden base. Test aggregates must be sieved using sieves with openings of 63, 50, 37.5, 28, 20, 14, 10, and 6.3mm. These are available separately (listed in our sieve section) as 200mm diameter brass frame sieves with stainless steel cloth as International Test Sieves.
 

THICKNESS AND ELONGATION OF AGGREGATE, THICKNESS, BS-812

Has 7 labeled slots for rapid hand trying of particles from each of the 7 sieve cuts. The mass of all flaky particles as percent of the sample is the Flakiness Index. It is enameled sheet metal with clearly marked sieve fraction ranges for each slot. Test aggregates must be sieved using sieves with openings of 63, 50, 37.5, 28, 20, 14, 10, and 6.3mm. These are available separately (listed elsewhere) as 200mm diameter brass frame sieves with stainless steel cloth as International Test Sieves.
 

VOID CONTENT APPARATUS, COARSE

The hopper, stand measure, and the strike-off bar are stainless steel. The apparatus also includes glass plate for calibration of the measure. 82-0069-60 lightweight fiberglass reinforced plastic pan is recommended for containment of particles. 82-0067-00 Chute-end Aggregate Handling Pan is useful for weighing and loading of test material.
