GRINDABILITY TESTER, HARDGROVE

90-8201-50-ET is made from durable quality materials throughout to assure reliable, maintenance-free operation. A prepared 50g sample of No.16- No.30 sieve size coal and eight 1in (25.4mm) diameter polished steel grinding balls are placed in a stationary bowl having a machined circular track. An upper grinding ring with matching track is rotated at 20rpm to drive the balls while a fixed load of 64lb (29kg) is maintained by weighting the motor-driven spindle attached to the upper ring. A counter/switch assembly automatically stops the tester after 60 revolutions, and amount of grinding is determined by sieving on a No.200 sieve. GRINDING MEDIA

Burundum Grinding Media comes in three sizes and can be used for several applications, 90-8204-30-ET is for the dispersion of liquid-based systems, 90-8204-32-ET is for dry grinding/general lab use, and 90-8204-34-ET is for large size grinding/crushing. Zirconia Grinding Media comes in two sizes and is used for fast milling and grinding.
 

MORTAR GRINDER, RETSCH

The Retsch Mortar Grinder has a volume from 10 to 190mL and a maximum feed size of approximately 8mm. Final fineness of less than 10µm is possible, dependent upon material type. A display shows the relative load on the mill, allowing the sample size to be optimized. Adjustable pestle pressure is indicated on a scale and the digital timer allows grinding times from 0-99 minutes or continuous operation. Chamber is sealed for noise and dust reduction.
